Hi I am  80s-Wizard

During the 1980s AM radio gave birth to a whole new generation of local Australian talent. 

This blog hopes to revisit that era and pay homage to the humble vinyl 45 rpm / 7" single and acknowledge its role in the development and expansion of Australia's 80s rock, pop and alternative scenes. 

Physical sales of 45s / 7" singles once directed the national singles charts and played an integral part in 

providing a platform for Australian music to be heard not only within Australia, but also across the world.

Unfortunately, by late 1990, 45s / 7" singles began to wane due to the popularity of CD singles as the new physical music format prefered by consumers.
